Having mostly play American football, I have experienced the queer discrimination that exists within lockers room and on field. Although not direct, the indirect statements and comments over the years made towards queer people slowly started to deter me from continuing playing that I sport I enjoyed.

What brought me to the Crescent City Rougaroux was the desire to get back to playing a sports but within an environment with people just like me. Playing on an all-inclusive sports team helped change my perception of competitive sports and helped me be queer and competitive without them being mutually exclusive. For me, pride is above all unity!
