You’ll never be free until you can find yourself in your actions and ideas, and you can never feel happy trapped in a cage or hiding behind a mask. To us, that translates as pride: freeing yourself from your own fears and the ideas you’ve been imposed. It’s seeing yourself in a picture and smiling without thinking about anybody else’s opinion. It’s a way to discover yourself, to learn, to realize that everything you’ve deprived yourself from because of others, or out of habit or fear is a limited idea of what’s right and normal. It’s loving and respecting yourself, it’s being able to love and respect others without any restrictions. It’s a spontaneous kiss, a cuddle, it’s being able to walk hand in hand, it’s a moment of passion, it’s a photo you want to share, it’s irreverence, it’s owning your own body, it’s brashness and sensuality, it’s a night of drinks and music, it’s choosing how to express yourself, how to dress, walk, talk. It’s a constant struggle, it’s standing tall and carrying on, it’s living with dignity. It’s our voice.
