The relief of a Bedouin finding an oasis in the middle of the desert –that is what I felt when I found Titanes. I thought, "you're here, finally!" Speaking with my teammates, I've come to realize you don't need to have lived a dramatic life in order to have suffered, and that all of us have gone through a series of experiences, each in their own way, but all sharing common patterns –like a lack of role models, a sense of solitude or the desolation of feeling a weirdo. Titanes means home to me, I arrived here feeling lonely and scared and without knowing what I would find, and I ended up getting what I now consider a chosen family. Thanks to the example my teammates set, I normalized what I had once thought was strange, and I found in them the courage and pride to come out to my family.
